Tee i.c.w Jonas Ohlsson made a glass collage artwork for the monumental chapel of the Museum van de Geest. With the work, the fluid and ambiguous idea of the soul, the mind or the human spirit - something that is actually not tangible - is visualized. The work can be found in the museum café and can also be admired on the outside of the Museum. They chose this art form with the idea that ‘the mind’ is something transparent. The brain is the home of the mind, but the mind itself is an abstract concept. A concept that humanity has tried to interpret, define and describe. Terms that show partial overlap in meaning which are explored in the work are; geest / mind / spirit, psyche (soul), thymos (life force) and logos (reason / mind).
